Exciting Night for Amnesty and Liberties Press
Friday November 6th is an exciting night for Amnesty Ireland and Liberties Press as From the Republic of Conscience: Stories Inspired by the Universal Declaration of Human Rights is launched by former President of Ireland and UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, Mary Robinson. With the National Library of Ireland as a backdrop, authors and visual artists from the book such as John Boyne, Colm Tóibín, Anne Enright, Glenn Patterson, Alice Maher, Amelia Stein, and many others are expected to be present. Creators Roddy Doyle and Sean Love will also be in attendance with Roddy reading an extract. Colm O'Gorman, Amnesty Ireland Executive Director, will also be speaking about the book's origin.
