National Media Embrace New Therapy

On the publication of his second title, Flagging the Therapy: Pathways Out of Depression and Anxiety, Dr Harry Barry has been embraced by the media, national and regional. The follow-up book to Flagging the Problem: A New Approach to Mental Health, Flagging the Therapy has thus far featured on RTÉ 1's Today with Pat Kenny, Newstalk's The Right Hook, and Today FM's The Last Word. Dr Barry is a regular contributor to tv3, on Ireland AM and The Morning Show with Sybil and Martin. The book has received nationwide write-ups in the Sunday Independent and The Irish Times. With the success of Flagging the Therapy thus far, Liberties Press is delighted to have more national and regional coverage in the pipeline, which will be confirmed in the coming weeks.

Audio files of Dr Barry's Interviews will be uploaded on to the site shortly.

Regional radio coverage so far has included Phantom FM, LMFM, Dublin's 98FM, East Coast Radio and Country Mix. Listen here.

Flagging the Therapy takes a holistic view and examines the numerous medical, psychological and complementary therapies that can all help in negotiating a pathway out of depression and anxiety.

Dr Barry explains the role our minds and brains play in the manifestation of depression and anxiety, and how these in turn can be shaped to lead us out of illness. His use of fictionalised case studies makes the book both accessible and easily manageable for all readers. There are colour illustration and extra appendices at the end of the book including information on self-help groups and resources available.
