Relive Bernard Dunne's Glory Days

As the news of Bernard Dunne's retirement reached the nation on Friday February 19th 2010, one man not altogether surprised was Barry Flynn, author of Bernard Dunne: The Ecstasy and the Agony.

Bernard Dunne reached the pinnacle of his career in 2009 when be became the WBA Super Bantamweight World Champion - the same day the Irish rugby team won the Grand Slam - an historic day in Irish sport. However, Dunne's success was only to last six months when he met Thai boxer Poonsawat Kratingdaenggym on September 26th 2009.

This book celebrate Dunne's highs and lows, firmly placing him in the historic halls of Ireland's greatest boxers, but also sees Flynn predict Dunne's retirement. Barry Flynn is a boxing expert, writing on the subject for more than a decade, and has previously written Legends of Irish Boxing to great success.
