“Making
Bread” is more than a practical and easy-to-read guide that
seeks to encourage people to take the huge step of setting up in
business. It is the story of one man’s dream, which nearly
ended as soon as it begun, to build a successful international franchise.
Candid personal anecdotes show both the pleasures and pitfalls faced
by starting and building a business, and the self-belief required
to accelerate growth to the next level.
Recent studies have shown Ireland to be one of the most entrepreneurial
nations in the world, and with over 170,000 small and medium sized
enterprises in Ireland this is not surprising. “Making Bread”
describes in a humorous, but real way, the reality of starting and
running a small business. The books dispels with jargon and covers
practical topics required to make your business a success. Areas
include raising finance, dealing with suppliers, customer care,
the stresses and strains involved and how to cultivate contacts.
The book contains twenty chapters which cover how to get a business
up and running and how to nurture it and watch it grow.
