Get Your Tax Back 2011 by Aidan Kelly is the updated practical guide to the maze of tax details, how to calculate your tax liability and how to claim refunds. Following December 2010's budget, this is a vital book for every household to recoup some hard-earned money.

For the price of a CD or less, you could reclaim enough money to pay a new stereo to play it on - or even enough to fly off for a holiday. In these difficult economic times, every euro counts. Yet every year, almost all of us pay more tax than we should. In Get Your Tax Back, Aidan Kelly tells you how you can reduce your tax bill by claiming all the allowances which are due to you. This straightforward, easy-to-read guide is guaranteed to save you money.

Get Your Tax Back reduces the chore of dealing with the Department of Revenue and deciphering which benefits you are eligible for to an easy step-by-step task. Did you know that stay at home parents are also entitled to a homecarers allowance? Reliefs are valid for 4 years plus the current year? Simple formulae for calculating your true tax liabilty are given along with contact details for Revenue offices nationwide and a glossary of terms.

Get Your Tax Back explains taxation, which taxes a person is liable for and the common forms necessary for dealing with the Revenue Office. It also outlines and describes the various reliefs available - medical expenses, housing, and work. Aidan Kelly offers simple, yet essential, advice that most of us would never otherwise know.

About the author: Aidan Kelly is originally from Dublin, now living in Cavan. While at college he worked as an office manager for a structural steel supplier. His role there began as an office junior before progressing to office manager. One of his many functions was dealing with wages and payroll. It was during this time that Aidan's interest and knowledge in the area of taxation began. He filled this role for over 2 years in both a full time and part time capacity before leaving this job and putting his studies on hold as he got accepted into the civil service, where he has worked for the last 12 years.

He has continued his interest in matters of taxation over the last 15 years advising friends, family and colleagues on how to claim their allowances and reducing the tax they pay.
